sway bar

would bad bushings on the sway bar make a loud clunking noise when i turn left, and when i go over just about nething thats not smooth? the only other thing i can figure is that its the t-bars up front, but no one can explain how to see if theyre both keyed the same. the left front bump stop is also sitting directly on the a-arm, no space in between. this is starting to drive me crazy

This might sound stupid, but check your hood hinge bolts. I've heard of dealers replacing the entire front suspension looking for a clunck, only to find out it was the hood hinge was worn out.

heres a pic. Piece #2 is a bushing they use to fix the problem.

yeah ive heard about the hood hinge problem. when the truck was in the shop, i asked them to look at the front end, but they didnt say nething when i picked it up. and another thing, the drivers side bump-stop is sitting directly on the a-arm w/o ne space at all between. the rubber part is actually compressed cuz its sitting like it is. would that have nething to do with it?

My hood bolts were actually loose to the point where they were actually going to fall off, both sides. I had the same noise in my blazer though, turned out it was control arm bushings. I replaced them w/ energy suspension bushings. No noise 8O)
