id say it was well worth it, I will definetally be going there again soon, I personally had too much fun, especially since i still have my front DS lol, crusing around in 2wd all day was a blast,

hopefully it was worth it for Red Baron and Onimun, who had the longer drives.
I fell sorry for Red Baron, who was the only who camped the night by camping in groups website.
everyone else had a short drive to home or to friends.

Im pretty sure im going to go again with a bunch of friends in october.
well camp out the night, there shouldnt be any reservation problems cuz its october,

you should come to that, cuz ill be going out with a bunch friends, and hopefully i can get the other guy who didnt show up who goes to cuesta, if he and you showed up, there would be 3 similar blazers.
keep October in mind, it will be a Friday night, and my friends and i will probably rent 10 quads again, as well as drive out there.
and you would be welcome to bring a few friends.

o and WHAT?, this is for you:

Great pictures. Looks like it was a decent turnout. Sounds like August 11 will be the next get together and then again sometime in October. I can make the October date but August will be out.

Nice!@! Looks like you guys had a good time. Steve didnt try anythign funny with you guys did he? He has been known to get a lil bit frisky when he gets around younger people. I wish I could make it out. Theres no dunes or anything near me. I gotta drive ~1 hour to get to a beach and I cant even wheel on it if you know what I mean. Just there to drive and sit around. Not to mention its like $150 for the season pass.

You FAGS can only dream of the day I go gay, sadly for you it'll never happen!!!

We did manage to scare off Onimun's family though. When me and a few others broke out the beer they cleared out their entire camp sight, tent, tables, chairs and all and moved out.. I guess dad was there to watch out for partying trouble makers like us!

Bad role model? I'm the guy who brought the two skin heads to party with. After the forum guys left we partied with the newly wed campers next to us. We played poker with the winner picking who did the next tequila shot.

How's that for a role model!?

The newly weds were the ones with the black Suburban by the way.

Damn, like there wasn't enough pics here already!

Friday, before we even had a camp sight we went out to have some fun in the dunes.

Looks like lots of room to camp till you find out how high high tide gets.

Saterday morning I was woke up by a phone call on my cell. It was Even (Svenson14) telling me we had to go down to pole #6 to catch up with the other S10 forum guys because that's where he setup the meeting. The sand was so soft down there two of us got stuck at the same time! If you look over the back of my truck you'll see Tempo's one ton Chevy stuck too. Jeramy's Toyota had me out with one tug. It took two one ton diesels to pull him out though.

Yes, that is the tide comming up while we scrambled to get him out. Who's idea was it to meet down here?

If we didn't get him out soon, high tide would have been over his hood. At high tide water came up to 10 feet from the tents along the beach.

Saterday night winding down starting the camp fire.

Sunday morning at low tide.

Re: S-10's at PISMO DUNES, PLANS FOR SUMMER

Hey Red Baron, those Baja Claws Look great. They are 33 x 15.50, right? Let me know how you like them. Do you plan on putting some on the front or are you going to stay with the A/T's?

Re: S-10's at PISMO DUNES, PLANS FOR SUMMER

Well, I still have two good 33/12.50 AT's I took off of the back to mount those 33/15.50 Baja Claws. So it's AT up front for a while. The MTs do well under most conditions but loose sand isn't one of them. They are a high void mud type tire. They've out performed the AT tires everywhere but in the sand. I've done hill climbes with them I couldn't make half way with the BFG ATs just the week before.

The Ford 8.8, Detroit Locker and 4.56 gears helped both sets of tires too.

With my low geared 1994 NV3500 5 speed 4.03 first gear it's like haveing a granny gear first. Running around town I start off in second gear now.

Is that the S10 that pulled this full sized truck out?
