Thank you TSL Thornbirds.

And thanks Bobby. I really appreciate it. I have had this truck about 3 or 4 years and it has grown in steps. I'm pretty happy with it now, but of course I will keep adding onto it, slowly but surely. It is my daily driver, so have to keep it road worthy, but yet be able to wheel as good as most. If you want to see any other pictures or whatnot let me know. I need to get some new ones (after the truck gets washed preferrably) since I just got rock sliders on.
I have some plans for it in the near future, although they are mainly just add-ons. I need something to keep excited about right?

yamaha thanks for the comments and yep thats an aluminum bumper.
Yeah i figured something along those lines but i was confused.

Hey if you could let me know how the tires hold up to daily driveing, that would be great. I'm debating on those or bfg's.
thanks

Here's Emma, '91 s10 with a 4.3. 3" bodylift, cranked torsion bar's, and i'm waiting on my lift shackles to level it out. I've got some plans this spring for her, custom built bumper's out of rollcage tubing, shorter, wooden bed, and some new 31's.

Just so you couldn't have it I rear ended someone on new years day Following a little to close.

I'd take your flatbed, but my dad's best friend is a master carpenter, and we're going to build a bed that pretty much looks like an s10 bed, but wood...and about 12" shorter... It's going to match the contour of the body and everything.

It's gonna be cool... the "bedsides" are gonna be 1/2 treated plywood, with about a 2" think oak floor. And i'm just gonna cut the frame off right behind the rear shackles, and stop the bed right at the back of the truck.

I'll probably make a project thread in the spring when I "finish" Emma, the wood bed's on my list.

They seem to be doing awesome on the road, but I don't drive a very large amount every day. I have heard of them getting 40,000+ miles on a set though, but that's obviously rotating them and keeping a good alignment.

SSRs may be a better option for you if you drive a lot during the week. I've heard of them getting quite a bit of miles on a set of them.

Thats a fun looking truck man! You really need shakles to bring up the rear though... Even though it prob. rides flat... I think they always look better when they have a little rake to it...

I would venture that it is a stock rearend and a D30 front.
Those tires don't look bigger than 33s.

Well I had MT wheels in the past and I really liked them. MT tires, like Claws (which I used to like), just don't seem to get good mileage or anything. I've seen too many of them misworn because of that awkward tread pattern. Plus they aren't really that good offroad. I'm just not convinced that for tha price (and you ARE paying a lot extra just for the name Mickey Thompson) that you can't get a better performing, longer lasting tire.

In all honesty, I would go with a good mud terrain before I would go with a Claw or something.
Its hard for me to say what tire I think is the best, because it's really just based on the usage it will see. So far, I am really happy with the Irok Radials I have been running.

Re: Post Pics of Your Ride!

Yea my brother in law had some 38's on his powerstroke, that bitch was baaad but he ended up taking them off and selling them because they could never align the damn tires! The road noise was intolerable.

Why aren't there any 2nd gen reg cabs that are lifted on here? I might need a photoshop of my truck. I'm still not knowing what way I want to go with the truck yet. I love the look as of now, and I was considering a lift after all the body work was 100% done, but what's the fun of a lifted truck that will never see mud, let alone off road?

Seems like 2nd gen regular cabs aren't all that common in general. In all reality, for offroad purposes, a regular cab short bed (6ft) would have quite a good wheelbase, although the driveshaft angle in the rear would become more of a concern. For some reason, I have just personally never been a fan of standard cabs. I used to like the early 90s fullsize chevy standard cabs, but once I had an extended cab, I didn't car for regular cabs because I couldn't throw anything in the back.

Oh and a lifted truck that doesn't see offroad is quite common. Also known as Trailor queens and Road Warriors.
