I was looking at some sites, that they use luminas z34, and some from gto's. I just wanna get some hot air out of the engine compartment. It doesnt overeat , the needle is just under 210 degrees here are some links and well if you can give me any ideas also... thanks http://www.raceace.com/ [[/url]http://www.oman4x4.com/hoodventinstall.htm |

Re: hood vent
i was at the super chevy show the week before last... this dude took a 1st gen hood and make it look like a hood off of a 70-72 chevelle... with the funtional ram air scoop and everthing... it was red with black rally stripes... everytime he revved it the scoop would move up and down....

Re: hood vent
The only problem I see with using these vents is that if you do any playing around in water or anything really wet you will have a "better" chance of getting water into the air intake. Thats just my $0.02 |

Re: hood vent
there is that chance but generally the under hood temps are warm enough to burn the water off pretty quickly. and its kinda tricky for water to go backwards through those openings.

Re: hood vent
Bump. I'm interested in venting some of the underhood heat myself. Any more ideas would be appreciated. The vents at raceace seem kinda pricey.

Re: hood vent
wow i kinda like them doors, it would go with my back window.........................smashed it out a while back and decided to put a clear plastic window with a zipper in it like the soft top jeeps, this weekend that will be happening, either zipper or velcro, looks good with no window, but i wanted to just make tube bar doors, just the pivot point and the latch, but those are nice

Re: hood vent
Thanx for the replys. It definitely looks like the hood vents from Raceace are the way to go for me. Soon as I have some extra cash I think I will probably install a set. Any other advice, pics, ideas or install tips would be welcomed though.
