Re: bad cv????

if the CV joint is bad there should be alot of dark/greenish grease slung around the area

Re: bad cv????

I went thru 4 remanufactured CV axles from O'Riellys. I finally got a brand new one.

Don't go to O"'Riellys and Don't get a remanufactured one. They are a pain in the butt to replace.

This would be correct if you are diagnosing a ripped CV boot....

There should be no play in the joints themselves. I just replaced my right side axle as the inner joint had about 1/2" of up/down play. Took care of my problems.

well mine did the same thing as blazed00, and it was because the CV boot ripped and it had no grease so it was grinding
