I've pretty much decided that at the beginning of the summer it is time to just stop lolly-gaggin' and do a dual solid axle conversion. I should be trading some D44 axles here soon for a HP D44 and a (dare I say) Ford 9" rear. I have already been talking to my buddy who did the IFS lift for me and we are starting to straighten things out. I should be moving the front axle forward from center about 2-3", leaving the body lift on most likely, and put on a 10-12" lift with leaf springs all around. I want to be able to run 37's if I want, but I will probably run 35x12.50 MTs or 36X12.50 IROK Radials. 4.56-4.88 gears front and rear and probably Detroit lockers front and rear. Maybe Warn locking hubs, custom driveshaft of course, not sure what wheels yet, and hopefully running SOA and maybe high steer setup. Eventually I will probably be looking to but on JB headers, Flowmaster 40 series, and a Warn winch.
Let me know what you think. I could use a few good ideas to ponder on while I'm not real busy. |
