as for flex, ill let the pics show you!

so i think its getting there, i went for a little trail ride to test it out, since i havent driven it since i bought my rocket.

whatta ya think?
the fact that you are pulling your front shackles past vertical means you need longer ones.

they could stand to have a lot more angle too. mine are kicked back more at ride hight than yours are at full compression.

I probably wont be too far behind ya on that one. My trans just doesnt seem right. But if it does, its just an opportunity to upgrade to something better. So I really dont care if it goes.

Let me know when you decide. I just got done pulling out my t-case about 20 mins ago. If you dont want that one, im not even pulling this one apart to fix the leak.

Is the shifter assembly and console there with it???

All Chevy 231's from 88-97 have the 1.25" chain. Jeeps are the only ones that use the 1" chain.

hm, i would SAS the full size, being its got a 305/350 and the tcase is already there.
you would prob want to run a D44 in that. which i dunno what you would find the right axle in.
i think you would be better off asking donahue about it!

late 70's fords are going to be your best bet for a sas. but with a t-case swap chevy and dodge axles become an option. some of it depends on the type of suspension desired.

It adds up quick

ook, bump this piece of shit.

tax return time is coming up soon. which ill prob get like a whoppin 2k back. half of that will be going to new tires, im deciding between two tires. 35x12.5x15 baja claws or 35x14.5x15 boggers, not sure which ones yet.
with that being said. ill have around 1k left.

the body on my truck is shot, as most of you know. i was at work thinking tonight instead of buying a new bed / fenders from a j/y then buying bush wackers from summit of where ever. i was thinking about buying pre runner bed sides / fenders again you can pick them up for about a grand. i would get them with the widest flare i could get, since i got beef with the cops for too small of flares and the current lawn edging isnt cool.

now, if i buy the glass parts i will build my own bed. figured on making the shell mostly out of 1x1 tube, making the rear section out of like 2x2 (so it can support a tube tail gate / tire carrier. now the floors and sides would be like 3/16" expanded steel with the bed sides screwed to it. it would be basically an open box, easy to clean the top of frame, and inside of the bed sides. i would also put wheel tubs in it to keep the majority of mud / water from flying all over. i would still be able to tie things down all over the place from the holes in the expanded steel.

doing that, i think would cost a little more, but i think would be cooler, more functional for me. and last longer. i will also build sliders for the cab and bed. my buddy does fiberglass work for a living, so im not toooo worried about cracking it.

k, story time is over. whatta think? i just had to tell someone cause i thought it is a good idea. and i want to make my truck look kinda nice again.

updates when taxes come
