O im not saying it will be a real bad drive but the money i would spend getting up there would be more than a new kit.

Just be creative and get rid of the ABS brain thing. There's a few different ways to do it

You'll need connectors to go INTO that T. Also the thread pitch that goes INTO the master cylinder is different than what is on your lines currently. It'll be a process, it'll take some thinking. You'll see what I mean when you do it.

Re: Project: Fix to busted CV shafts & wheel bearings! 56k no no

There isn't much to tell. I took the ABS "brain" and disconnected all the lines going into it. Then unbolted it from the truck. Once it was out I looked at what lines I had. Keep ALL the connections and such, you may need them. Then I got a T for the front lines and made them into one to go to the master cylinder. Then bent the rear line into the Master Cylinder. It's all about how good you are at bending brake lines and how creative you can be with it.

Re: Project: Fix to busted CV shafts & wheel bearings! 56k no no

well i got an update. a big one as a matter of fact.. today right before work i made a couple of phone calls and blew 560$. i bought new gears for front and back 4.88s to be exact. they are richmond and spicers. hopefully i can get them installed this weekend or next week (depending on when they get here) then im taking my truck to the shop to get exhaust work done, putting the DS on and testing the 4wd. then ill only need shocks (i think) to finish it out. (rear shocks)

no, cause you have that goofy boot thing as a front output shaft. So you either need a new transfer case (like I did ) or to change the front output yoke.

You cant just change the yoke. Your truck being a 99, you have to swap in a different front output shaft from a jeep NP231J with the 1" chain. Or just swap in a Manually shifted Np231C from a different s-10 like Baggey said

Re: Project: Fix to busted CV shafts & wheel bearings! 56k no no

THEN if you go my route you have to get the front output yoke from a Jeep NP231 so that the drive shaft can bolt to it.
No one told me that and I just figured it out the other day, so now I'm on the look for one.

what's wrong with your PTO drive shaft?

well i just got my jeep NP231 for the output shaft. this is just a simple swap of the output shafts?
and an xj DS. scored both for 50$ (maybe less) just hope the tcase is a 1" chain

Don't forget to switch the output yoke on the Tcase as well. You'll need it to accept the Cherokee drive shaft.
Thats what I'm in the process of doing on my NP231
