New SAS Kits

We have been working closely with Off Road Direct the past few months to develop complete solid axle swap kits.
There will be a few kits available including a leaf spring kit, a radius arm kit, and a 4-link kit. I am very excited about all of these kits, especially the leaf spring kit which will come with shock hoops and rear mounts for the front springs which won't require the customer to fabricate an extension off of the frame.
The leaf spring will be released first and the other kits will follow soon after. We should have the leaf spring kits available in the next few weeks. Of course, I will post up some pics for you to enjoy!

Re: New SAS Kits

How about making a rebuild kit for the CPI spider injector thats in the 4.3 W-model. Mine just started leaking from where the spider tubes come out of the bodyand now it wont hold fuel pressure when the pump shuts off. Other then that its good, just leaking.

Anyone replace the seals on these things???

I dont have 250.00 for a new one, so I have to try anything.

Re: New SAS Kits

I got a feeling that their popularity is going to go through the roof. I mean in the time that i have done mine, there has been a huge jump in the popularity. Making a SAS easier with only make it jump more.

Any idea what axle they are going to be using? and are they going to be offered with stuff like steering and front driveshafts?

absolutly nothing but its another idea for the S10's. lol

Plus I was pretty pissed off at my truck and I needed to vent and figured someone would have some idea.

I took the spider apart and found that I can replace all the o-rings where the tubes comeout, very easy to do actually and if I do that I think the leak would be fixed.

Sign me up for a set of front spring rear hangers. I am still not happy with the third set I've made. I will even buy them pretested and report on them for you. I street drive and will wheel the hell out of them.

Re: New SAS Kits

Specs:
Uses the 73-87 Chevy Front springs 47", or similar length springs.
Designed for 31.5" spring pad width axles.

***1982-1993 will run the shackle in the front
***93+ kit will run the shackle on the rear hanger.

Re: New SAS Kits

Here are some answers to the questions I've been getting.

S10 Forum Price - $450

Will the kits be available w/o powdercoating? If so, will this affect theprice? Yes, $40.00 less without powdercoat.

Can we sell the front crossmember only? Yes, all the parts are available individually.

Can we sell the rear hangers only?
Yes, all the parts are available individually.

Can there be an option of a hitch welded to the front hanger?
I talked with our engineer and we can offer a hitch receiver on the front hanger. FYI the front hanger will retain the factory tow hooks as they will be relocated to new mounting holes.

Re: New SAS Kits

i like the concept of the shock hoop. would you have to worry about it ripping bolts out of the frame / tearing the frame? i mean, a factory frame isnt very thick.

I would prefer a welded tube through the frame or just welding it on solid, but on the shackle side like that I doubt that 95% of the people using it will tear it up. Now if that was the fixed side of the spring I would be more concerned. JMO though.

Re: New SAS Kits

Steering box would depend on your axles and if you move them forward or not.

Interesting T-case cross member... personally, I would never want anything that hangs below the frame rails. and if that thing were lifted any higher...I think there would be issues with the Front drive line..
