I wish mine was mechanical injected! All the computer controlled crap on mine is annoying. I might give in and build a new 6.5 with the new AMG block & heads, Scat crank & rods, marine pistons, an A-team turbo, and a mechanical Peninsular marine pump. That combo ought to get me around 400-425hp and around 700-750 lb/ft of torque, it will be enough to make me smile anyway.

Re: Lets See Your SFA S-10

well i think i will run a d44hd 8 lug up front with radius arms from a bronco and run a dana 70u in the back 8 lug.. both with 355 gearing since thats what i got laying around.. so it will be leafs in the rear and coils in the front.. should ride nice... who knows it could change by springs though. the part i dont like is tryin to figure out what i need to do to that crap transfercase thats in it.. it has a weird connection and no yoke for the front shaft.

Re: Lets See Your SFA S-10

its a 92 extended cab. 4.3 vortec. dana 30 front and dana 35 rear, open diffs 3.73 gears. doesnt need gears but lockers and some bigger gearing sounds good. 32" goodyear wranglers, by the way are custom grooved by the person who owned it before me, also they are brandnew(worth more than the truck in rims and tires, lol). ill try to get some better pictures up tonight or tomarrow. its got axel over and custom but kinda shi**y high steer. needs shocks in front. and the front sfa brackets need some rewelding or just new parts. the sfa job on this truck is half a**ed and I think they just tried to get it done and didnt care how it look. some of the ifs bracketry is still on and need to be cut off. but overall it runs like a champ and has no problem going through a couple feet of snow.

The upper arms are all attached to the frame, not the lowers. A leaf setup definitely would be easier, especially if you dont want to do the math to figure out angles and mounting points. My main complaint right now is I still have some bump steer thats pretty annoying.

PS good luck, start a thread of your progress when you do your SFA conversion.

its legal in oregon to drive with no doors, as long as there are two rearward facing mirrors.
