disney land pics oklahoma that is

here are a few pics of Disney Ok, about a year ago.

going down the waterfall, of coarse you had to go up first and then turn around

not a good pic ,but going through little blue

going up the Grand Staircae,, this is the second ledge

this is the final step on the Grand Staircase

not sure who this guy was , he was part of another club, we was waiting for them to come down a hill, so we could go up ,, and he fell down , so we stopped to help him get back on his feet

Great pics!
You know, it doesn't matter what angle you take a pic of the Grand staircase from, it just doesn't look like much unless you see it in person.

How does the Blazer do going up the right side of the waterfall?

Re: disney land pics oklahoma that is

I hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd throw a few old pics from Disney into the mix.

This was right after I did the 1st SFA swap on it with 35's and was the 1st time I took it crawlin, probably 11-12 years ago. John started me out right!
My poor truck sure looked better when it was all one color.

Anyway, I'll look through my old pics, I have a ton of them from there.

Re: disney land pics oklahoma that is

I think my wheelbase is what got me up it,.....well that and Gump. I would set & spin with the rear tires up against the ledge and Gump would grab the rear bumper from behind and raise up on it and make it look like he was letting it pull him up. If he didn't do that it would not go up it! Kinda funny.

I'm not sure what steps your talking about though.?

Oh, I got ya. Yeah, John suggested I remove them before I tried that one. lol

I just about peeled them off several times. The right side would have got them for sure, that's the only place that I ever dented it. I pushed a little dent in my passenger side rocker.

That would be fun, just go easy on me.

Gump should have his done by then also. I know how it will do, it's everything I took out of mine, but with a his version of a long-arm 4 link front and 5 more inches of wheelbase.

Yeah I still have 38's, but I'm one lunging it in both axles. Money has been a little tight lately so i haven't got my lockers yet, well that and the wife is still having a hard time getting over the eleven grand I've already spent on it, but this will give me a good reason to get 'em! Can't let me friends down, right!

I was wanting to plan a trip when the truck got done, looks like a awsome place to wheel, when though is the question, money. Hopefully this spring. I would like to go down to kansas rocks sometime also, never been there either

It's actually a mid '80's Nissan and yes it is bad. I didn't get a chance to talk to the guy and I never looked at the engine, but it was either blown or had a gear drive unit. The way it acted, I believe it was a blower. If I see him over there with it again I'll get a little more info on it. He ran a line up that particular obstacle that I hadn't seen done before and I've watched a lot of rigs try that spot.

Re: disney land pics oklahoma that is

Well, the guy that I thought probably wouldn't get the 2nd Gen finished is hard at it trying to get it finished, well...usable for this spring. He has already mounted the 38's on it and he brought over an '87 Suburban Saturday and began pulling the 350/700/208 combo to put in the S10. Then he has to wire it up, redo the steering setup, get the driveshafts, and weld the diffs, oh, and have my dad rebuild the engine. I think he will get it ready in time, if it looks like he isn't going to get it done in time me and Gump will jump in on it.

Gump is also making progress on his. All he lacks is the exhaust, the seat, carpet (I know), and finishing some welding. BTW, I'm ordering my rear locker this week and I almost have the Mustang finished that's been taking up most of my spare time, so I'll be able to get mine ready as well. This should be some fun crawlin with that many S10's.

Re: disney land pics oklahoma that is

Gump has his exhaust all done, the front axle shaft fixed, fans wired, found a bed and put it on it, etc. I think all he lacks is finishing welding some of the brackets and double checking things, so his will for sure be there. I starting to have my doubts that the other will be ready, but he is trying.

I'll try to get some pics of them in the next day or two.

Re: disney land pics oklahoma that is

Here are a few shots of Gumps that we took last weekend. It's driving now, but just needs a few things buttoned up. I'm going to work on his truck this weekend while he finished getting the Mustang that I've been rebuilding ready for paint, we are both sick of working on them so we are switching for the weekend. At least this way I will feel safer riding in his truck. lol.

Anyway, here is his pile in it's current state.

It was a blast, but I sure wish I would have got to see the old Blazer in action. Next time lets get together (when all the rigs are ready) when there isn't an event going on. I promise I'll have mine and Gump's ready to wheel by the time your kids get out of school. Seeing all that again really got me ready to get mine ready to wheel, I really think I can get it up the ledge where your front shaft gave out on you!

Edit: BTW, I have some pics & videos I'll post up later also.
