97 Jeep Cherokee Axles SFA

i just moved to TN just got a double wide trailer on 3acres and i got a 2 car garage with a pit in it and i went to the junkyard pulled the axles off a 97 jeep cherokee i heard it was the easiest and the cheapest so ive been told to get the sky-manufacturing s10 SFA kit. but will it work with those axles, i need some serious advice or point me to a thread cause i dont have internet, i get on bout once every 2 weeks so. if you could help me it'd be apreciated thanks ya'll, I got a 2002 Chevy S10 4.3 ill throw some pics on.

should work just fine im using 93 cherokee axles in mine and made my own cross member for mine

the front axle is good but the rear is junk and not worth swaping. get an 8.8 rearend out an an explorer

But if i pull the rear axle out of a explorer isnt that a full size axle offsettin my front axle im new to this what u think.

no explorer axle is not fullsize. wms is 58-59" the d30 is 60"

ya an explorer axle is better but i got my matching set for 100 bucks so ill run it till it breaks and switch to full width

97 cherokee axles should be D30hp and 31 spline 8.25, If he has a 8.25 it's as strong as a 8.8.

97 cherokee axle is going to be a coil spring axle...if you are using the sky kit you are going to have to cut the coil perches off and weld on leaf perches...just so you know...but if you're going with a 93 cherokee axle then its a leaf spring set up already...so I dont know it sounds like you need to do a little more research to me.

I kno grindin is my specialty, and puttin perches on it no big deal, the front axle i pulled got an air locker on it already thats excitin, yeah i got a really good deal on these so im gunna just go with them, i just got mono so ill be down for awhile

you better watch that smoochin!!! good deal on the air locker. I would look more into the 8.25 mopar rear, i dont know alot about jeeps except that the d35 sucks and so does the alum d44 in the grand cherokees!

Oppps, I meant 29 spline on the 8.25 rear. The early 90's were 27 spline. I run a 8.25 in both my cherokee's on 34's and have never had a problem.
