Re: 97 Jeep Cherokee Axles SFA
97 cherokee axles should be D30hp and 31 spline 8.25, If he has a 8.25 it's as strong as a 8.8.

Re: 97 Jeep Cherokee Axles SFA
97 cherokee axle is going to be a coil spring axle...if you are using the sky kit you are going to have to cut the coil perches off and weld on leaf perches...just so you know...but if you're going with a 93 cherokee axle then its a leaf spring set up already...so I dont know it sounds like you need to do a little more research to me.

Re: 97 Jeep Cherokee Axles SFA
you better watch that smoochin!!! good deal on the air locker. I would look more into the 8.25 mopar rear, i dont know alot about jeeps except that the d35 sucks and so does the alum d44 in the grand cherokees!

Re: 97 Jeep Cherokee Axles SFA
Oppps, I meant 29 spline on the 8.25 rear. The early 90's were 27 spline. I run a 8.25 in both my cherokee's on 34's and have never had a problem.
