Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
check napa, they have conversion joints that can do it. I adapted mine from the stock driveshaft to a ford 8.8. You might have to do a lil research to get the one you want cause the ppl behind the counter often rarely know exactly what you want. Just get their book that they have and go to town.

Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
depends on a couple of things. is your axle moved forward any from the stock position? if it is, an astro van steering box is your best bet from the stock location, or you can try and move your steering box forward a couple of inches to get the right angles and you can use a jeep drop pitman(one from a zj grand cherokee is pretty long to begin with) and if its a saginaw steering box, the arm will go right on it and you can use the stock drag and tie rod from the wrangler.

Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
that helps too. haha. you are probably going to have to do a high steer arm at the very least. Baggey22 did an awesome write up on it and it tells you where to buy it and how the install went. http://www.jb4x4.com/products.htm
Thats the website you can use. Alot of guys on here have had very good experiences with this, be it your rig be spring over or spring under. You still might have to do an astro van steering box, and if i were you, i would go ahead and purchase Rugged Ridge's heavy duty steering linkages. You get them as a package deal, and you wont have to extend the drag like you would have to do if you were using the stock DL. Hope this helps. |

Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
The astro box swings from the other way. Points the pitman arm towards the front of the truck.

Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
Nope you gotta make it. or you can just swap in axle shafts from a xj or tj jeep. You can also turn the piece around that disconnects it and have it engaged all the time.

Re: 92 S10 4x4 SFA swap
Oh and that High steer bracket superflow was talking about is only a half highsteer set up...it doesnt convert your drag link from below the knuckle to above it only brings your steering link above the springs...just a little FYI. I have it in my truck and it is worth the money I think
