89 blazer SFA drag link question.
I posted a thread earilier, my question was about the drg link im using a 81 waggy axle shackles to the front. I got a 4 in drop pitmen that is right over my pumpkin, someone said I can build a bracket and move it forward. I looked at that steering box all day and came up blank. I tried to post some pics so people could see what ive done. "and let me know where i messed up" and hopefully give me some pointers. If anybody can help me with this problem, Ill send you some naked pics of my bestfriends wife "joken" If you can help, It would be great. The pics are posted on the thread that says newbie with pics thanks again. O and anybody tell me how to post pics on the threads, Instead of a url: site. Sorry about the spelling I went to a military school! "no joke"

Re: 89 blazer SFA drag link question.
Welcome to the site.
I looked through your pics earlier and noticed how your pittman arm is right over the pumpkin. I'd say that the astro box would be your easiest fix. I used a full-size 94 Chevy box that I had to move forward and it's a pain. BTW, nice lookin Blazer. |

Re: 89 blazer SFA drag link question.
Thanks man. I love this site. Its what gave me the idea. tons of info on here. I think I have read every thread on here. One more question. I got alittle bit of bump steering, Do you think if I bent my high steer arm alittle more it would take some of it out. Or do you think it will go away with the atro box. and how far will my pitmen arm be compered to the spot my high are is. Will it matter if its not in a str8 line with my cross over steer bar. Thanks for the help.

Re: 89 blazer SFA drag link question.
To get rid of bumpsteer on a leaf sprung rig you will want the drag link as near level as possible. The angle yours is running is what is causing the bumpsteer. Look through the threads until you find Wrekd's build thread, I thinks it's 96 Blazer sfa or something like that. His steering was perfect for a leaf sprung rig.
I do think the asto box would get yours near level. |
