That 10 bolt should do well with 44" tires.

Re: 87 s15 sfa swap HELP

Stop posting this dumb shit. Do the research on the 10 bolt axles and you will find out about them.

Re: 87 s15 sfa swap HELP

im not running 44s. If i were, i would have planned on having something tough enough to handle it. I know how much the axle i have can handle. If i out grow them, which i dont think i will, i will put in something tough enough to handle it.

Re: 87 s15 sfa swap HELP

There's nothing wrong with blocks on the front of something that does not ever get driven on the road. Other than that it is a very bad idea.

I was speaking from a safety stand point only, I wouldn't put them on the front of anything at all. They aren't designed to handle the side load that it put on them in turns IMO.

Re: 87 s15 sfa swap HELP

diesel i know your smarter then that. lol I just hate blocks in general. last weekend we hard to try and fix a fullsize that spit a block in the mud. About 6 hours and climbing a tree to set up a clevis to lift the guys truck with my winch and sitting in waist deep mud. I was not a happy camper. Just do it right the first time. esp if it sees the road at all
