Re: 84 s10
It is a 84 that started life as a 2wd that was my first truck and now has a stout 327 that im building not done yet. with a th350 and np 205, dana 44 and corprate 14 both locked want 60 front, 52 inch leaf packs up front with a 4 link rear and mid 60s stretched impala rear springs. cut it down to a 125 in wheelbase, will have a full exo tied into a tube bed. 39.5 iroks would like boggers. its work in progress but would like it to be done for this coming summer. Still got a couple things to buy but not much. In the future want to get the 60 frount and 4 link it to then run 16inch travel air shocks on all 4

Re: 84 s10
got some more done on the bed it is pretty well done, Just need to get everything welded up. I cant put a couple of sheets on though until I get the cab painted. I wanted to make the bed tough for trails and tied into the exo but still practical if I ever decide to tag it. Here are some pics

Re: 84 s10
IMHO, I do believe it is necessary for the side loads the exo will take should really "Test" it out, like in a rollover situation.
I always put them on the exo I build, that and a center spanner bar. Here's a pic of the one I'm working on now. ![]() |

Re: 84 s10
hey ya I know its been awhile since Ive been on here. Been really busy I was wanting to put some pics on awhile back but my brother stole the camera so i had no way to do so. Anyway Ive got some work done. Got the lockers in both axels with new u-joints seals ball joints and so on. Got everything underneath paint and my diff guards made and painted. Got the gages in but dont have my toggle switchs yet. Motors ready to go in just need to locate a power steering pump and bracket.. I also bought a 01 cr125 picked it up super cheap, i got 300 bucks blown up and put 150 in parts in it and it runs great. It has a full fmf exhuast on it which is worth 300. I ve also to the white truck to some mud runs last one got like 9th out of 19 but pick first run, that sucked had to cut the first ruts.

Re: 84 s10
well I put the shackles on the frount because it was something simple for now to get by without a lot of fab with the lenght of springs i was using I wanted it to be low and didnt want a nasty pinion angle. It seemed liked to be the simplist and quickest at the time. I don't how long it be like that, once i find a dana 60 for it, its goin in and getting a 3link and those springs and all those brackets are coming out

got the motor started today and it ran good don't have a raditor so didnt run long but it revs really quick and snappy. At least a rod or some other object come flying out the side.

Re: 84 s10
well its awhile since i updated and i got it running and it but doesn't run great had a oil leak I had to fix and think a couple plugs are fouled and also found a gasket leakin by so its sucking in air. And its also smoking out the breather so somewhere its building pressuren in the block but the motor still feels solid when you put down the skinny pedel
anyway heres some pics![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
