83 s10 blazer SAS

SFA for the win!!

She started out pretty rotten. Everything was pooched other then the floors and firewall, so I didnt mind. First weekend I had her on the road the engine blew. So I figured Id do the body and paint while it was down for the count.

So, after some new quarter panels, rockers, fenders, tailgate, inner fenders and rad support and some fresh paint, she looked like this.

It already had a 3inch body lift and 31" cooper discoveries, which are a very nice tire btw.

After my first time out....

It was just not big enough. I had started pricing out all my sfa build your own brackets and stuff thru Joey when the ORD kit came out. So I got that and bought the axles.

So I painted everything up...

Got the torch out...

I only had 33s at the time, so I wasnt too sure about spring over, so we put the axle in on the tires on spring under just to see....

I measured, had 16inches from top of the tire to the bottom of the flare...wasnt big enough lol. So spring over it was!

33's werent big enough now that I went spring over, so I found a dude on kijiji wanting to trade some 35inch super swampers for the 33s, couldnt pass up that deal haha

Then came the rear! Got some rear springs out of an 05 blazer, pretty much brand new.

Unfortunately I didnt snap any pics of puttin the rear end in...

There it is pretty much all done. Just waiting on a pitman arm and some front brake lines then its off to do some wheelin!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here with all the build threads and useful info, and a big thanks to Rabbit whos got a bunch of dumb pm's from me lol

Specs are

Jeep YJ HP dana 30
Ford 8.8 rear both with 4.10s
Chev 4inch lift leaf springs upfront
05 blazer rear springs with 2.5inch 3 leaf fab shackles
Custom dom yj steering, with blue torch fab hi steer brackets
skyjacker hydro7000 shocks
ORD kit

that pretty much sums it up!

once again thanks to everyone, especially Rabbit, Joey at 4wdfactory, and the guys at ORD!

Re: 83 s10 blazer SAS

Great work ! Amazing that that's the same blazer I was going to say you should swap insome 56 in the rear and move your axle back but sounds like you fixed it already

Re: 83 s10 blazer SAS

ya i did the body and paint. i would go with something a little more thicker for filling in the quarters. it needs some strength there.
