Question Weird Lift

Hey All -

Anyone ever heard of people using the rubber connection ends from spark plug wires on the ends of their shocks to get a 1'inch lift ? I just heard about this from a co-worker when getting coffee , i almost kicked him in the face when he told me this but i had to check with you all first. It sounds insane but i bet its true.

Re: Weird Lift

You don't get the lift from the shocks so, yes. They're insane.

Re: Weird Lift

A shock has only one job,and it's NOT lifting the vehicle. It's purpose is to dampen the action of the suspension as it cycles,IE. It slows the speed of travel to a controlled rate.Go take the shocks of an s10....ok now did it lay frame ? NO because the shocks are NOT holding the truck up.With the exception of coil overs, and air shocks. So go ahead and kick the guy in the face.
