manual transfer case swap

I will be doing this swap within the next couple weeks I will take no end of pictures and do a detailed write up. I have a pretty good idea on how to go about it but as the truck is my daily driver I dont want to be guessing at it and be without my wheels . The truck is a 95 s10 ls 5speed , the plan swap a manual tcase as well as a posi lok cable in the process I will be removing the A/C as well. The ac will later be used for on board air, all in due time. Can any one point me in the direction to start? confirm which year the tcase will work thanks .

Re: manual transfer case swap

you will deff have to have one out of a manual tranny i believe. Then ones behind the automatics have a different mounting pattern at least to the best of my knowledge anyways.

Re: manual transfer case swap

meh, mine were all 5 or 6 bolt (dont remember chevy or jeep, which one had 5 and which had 6)...i had both auto and manual tcases.. my np231 i got out of a 94' automatic, had it behind my 94' 5 spd.

id try to get one with the cable vs. the linkage. get the shifter too.. for the tcase

Re: manual transfer case swap

My stock 207 was originally mounted to a 4 speed manual, then a TH350, then a 4L60E. I'm fairly sure that they use the same spline count on all of them in the S10's.
