what springs for 1st gen with v8
I have a 92 with a worn out 4.3 and my old race motor waiting to be reused
Since i have not been able to sell the 92 i have decided to lift it. Spindles and body lift soa for rear. Question is what springs for the frt if I use the 350 or will the 5664 be ok Hoping to 8-9 inches of lift total. The 350 was 450 hp will need to be refreshed tks |

the 5664 will prollyyyy make it sit at normal height. i would get the AIM v6 2.5" lift coils, they should give u an inch -1.5 inches of lift i would guess...

The moog 5664 are used in Iroc's with 454's so that would be perfect if you wanna aleast be at stock height, like matt said the Aim 2.5 coils would give you about 1-1.5" of lift if you installed a 350 motor |

Re: what springs for 1st gen with v8
you might be able to pull off the aim 3.5" lift springs that should give you around 2-2.5" of lift, but that might mess with ur bj angle too much
heres the breakdown of lift u can get... 3" lift spindles 2" of lift from springs 3" body lift total of 8 up front to make it level you prolly want about 5" of lift in the rear i would just do some 2.5" lift shackles, and ur body lift there ya go. |

Ditto, I'd go with Aim spring instead 5664 in this case, but if the weight of the motor is really heavier than stock then POSSIBLY 3.5, which will compensate for the lift like it's stock but still around 2-2.5", you'll need to research some more because of bj angle, a-arm issue, bushing and so on.
