coils
how much lift will the moog 5664 coils give me after they settle. how long does it usly take for a coil to settle if its street drivein with really really mild trail rideing.
i found a set of iroz z out of a 88. with the 5.7L v8 engine cheaper then the moogs. will these give me more lift? or settle quiker then the moog brand? thanks. |

Re: coils
also i saw on a irocz forum that the 3rd gen coil springs lift the 2nd gen cameros a bit more.
would this be true or would it just be the same amount of lift? |

Re: coils
damn you are really thinking about buying used coils? coils are like $60.00 new, even cheaper if you use the off brands.
TRW/Moog 5658 5660 5662 5664 The following coil springs have the same spring rates as the TRW/Moog brand but are often cheaper. AutoZone Duralast brand FCS5658S FCS5660S FCS5662S FCS5664S McQuay-Norris FCS5658S FCS5660S FCS5662S FCS5664S Husky spring RC5658 RC5660 RC5662 RC5664 Anyways the 5664 coil spring will give you about 1 1/4" of lift you have a 4.3 std cab and about 1.5" of lift if you have a 2.2, 2.5 std cab. expect even less lift if you have a X-cab. And the Iroc with a 454 uses a spring equivalent of the moog 5664 Last edited by 89-S-Dime : 10-16-2009 at 09:34 PM. |

Re: coils
Yeah, that'll will be fine, it'll swap in, but unsure which coil it'll be so lift will vary BUT if you get part number on coil, be sure to post up along with pics of before and after and get measurement as well. Measure from fender lip to center cap.
