i would not use the stock hooks...they are weak and if you are really stuck they will not help you..they will bend and break...and i think the will sit lower then he valence with a body lift..

yeah def... i'd suggest using firstgen towhooks before using ones from a second gen..

i've never had any problems with my firstgen towhooks as far as yanking me out.. i have, however, broken one of my towhooks by bashing it off a big rock.

if i were you.. i'd look into using beefier tow hooks than stock s10 tow hooks. check out how redbarron mounted tow hooks to his 2wd in the front... see post # 210.. first pic in that post shows his tow hook in the front...

http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f134/l...73/index5.html

its right by his sway bar

Re: 4Wd tow hooks on my 2wd..

its probably worth modding somethin up instead of using the stock secondgen hooks. just my 2cents. and if ya were to mod somethin up i'd def use a beefiier tow hook than any stock s10 hook

Re: 4Wd tow hooks on my 2wd..

You are gonna probably have to put a 2" spacer in there if you wanna use the stock tow hooks.

2001 Chevy Blazer 4x4
31" Fireston Destination AT's
2" BL, T-Bar Tweak, Shackles

SOLD...you will be missed
