Koim '09

Hey guys, I figure this would be the best place to put this rather then have eleventy million PM's flying back and forth.

Every year a group of us organize a meet that started very small and has grown every year. We have tried to alternate where it's been off and on, with Louisville winning out most times as thats where the 1st one happened. We've had it in Florence, KY (right below Cincy) and now we are doing this for '09 in May, in Indy. Dustin has planned on coming out with his truck, and I'm not sure what communication has been said as I really havent asked about having some sort of open house, something that would normally have taken place at ITB, at the Gauge HQ for KOIM on that friday or saturday night. I'm working on designing a logo that one of the members coming to the meet (scottyp) will be printing up shirts for this. I'd like to include the Gauge on there as well. Would the be any possibility of running coverage of this in the mag (myself, Nick (slammed83mazda) and cory (raider600) are all taking pictures of the meet. This years meet, held in Louisville had a lil over 30ish or so. The dates are May 8/9/10. In the past, Friday has been a travel day for everyone to arrive. We have the possibility of people coming from MN and MO as well this year. Saturday is technically the "main" day/night and then sunday pretty much gather everyone up, eat breakfast (or lunch as it seems to happen as we all like sleep on sundays) shoot the bull and head on back to our homes.

So far we are at around 40ish trucks signed up.

I just got engaged on Christmas and I'm lucky if the girl cooks dinner for me. Is there anyway I can have your old lady teach here...JK. I enjoy cooking only compaint she complains about the truck and wont let me sell it either. O well at least I can still work on it.

nick, what were you wanting the carolina guys to have put together to conribute, about what you pm'ed me about that one time? i'm already trying to get up with my old boss, to borrow his bucket truck, from the sign shop i used to work at, so i could get a group shot, from 30-40 feet up, or either the local volunteer fire dept. to stop by, so i could maybe get 5-10 minutes to take a few shots from up on their ladder.

if i need to prepare a writeup or anything, let me know.

Just wondered if anyone has talked to JUST FOR FUN. The owners name is Denney Scott. Hes a pretty cool guy im sure if you contacted him he might be able to hook you up with a group rate on the carts. Make sure to take a couple bottles of babypowder for the slick track!
