door popper

okay i just installed the shaved door kit! my question is this. i set up the popper to pull the bearclaws with a solid metal rod the stock rods from the door cut and bent to work. so with this i only use 1/4-1/2 the pull of the popper will it hurt the popper at all? should i add more slack to use the full pull of the popper? i opted not to use the stainless cable because i felt it may loss the tightness over time and i dont wanna screw around using ferrules!

you should have some slack in your setup a little. in order to get this you may want to use the cable.
i did on my own truck and its been all good for about a year now.

Re: door popper

there is a little slack on the bar but does not allow a full pull! it has slack on the rod in the relaxed posistion it has about 1/8-1/4 inch before it actually pulls

Re: door popper

i dont think the ground will be much of an issue because the doors are suicided so the door has a really good ground on it now.
