Xtreme LS6 Take 2
Some of you will remeber this truck, I have already post pictures in the past
it's the xtreme of my friend "silver" on the forum. I will post update and picture for him because he don't really have the time to do it. oh and because im a pic whore Silver have a lot of project for the truck but it's not really clear. but for the moment the project is: -Put down the T-56 for a rebuilt stage II -new clutch. Stock LS1 is now dead he will put a LS7 one maybe-2" drop spindle (blazer) -2" drop bloc -4 new shock -bumper to bumper polyurethane bushing. Made by energy suspension -put the battery in the bed he think about Z06 brake and seat but it's not sure The goal for the moment is to fix the horrible vibration in the drivetrain, and get maximum traction the best time on 1/4 was an horrible 14.3 but 108 mph! because of traction issue and slippy clutch I think the setup is already capable oh high 12" some old pics of past summer ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() An old vid of the project! + a little burnout [/ |

Looks like the stock auto console and he cut the plastic out...
What was the other one everyone was using, the 97 and cutting the cupholders out?

Re: Xtreme LS6 Take 2
i dont think he cut anything, looks like he used the existing hole in the floor shifter. most use the 97ish console and remove the cup holders. i like the way this looks better, but thats just me.

Re: Xtreme LS6 Take 2
YOU REMOVED THE TRANNY THE HARD WAY!!!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() did you know its easier to just leave the bell housing on the block, and unbolt the transmission from the bell housing? Once the tranny is out, it's much easier to get at the bellhousing upper bolts. also, it's easier to get the input shaft in and out of the clutch by unbolting it this way. Its ok, i used to do the same thing... then a friend told me of this bright idea. I kicked myself in the butt because he made me feel like a dumba$$ haha |

Nice to know! thanks for the tips!! It will be pratical when the time will come to put it back
![]() Getting acces to top bolt was not the biggest part of the work Clear the headers and the floor of the cab was a hell of job We lifted the cab to give more room. We already have to remplace the bushing anyway |

Re: Xtreme LS6 Take 2
http://www.kore3.com Tobin has them! They just aren't listed on the website yet. I just bougt front/ back c5 brake set not long ago and am waiting for them to be shipped. You'll have to swap your spindles for Belltech's Blazer 2102 spindles and chech your rims for clearance with kore3's template if you have 17" rims! Re: Xtreme LS6 Take 2
if you have the belltech 2100 spindles for the s10 like me you will have to switch to the 2102 blazer spindles for the adapter. (kore3 does have the bracket)
if your not wanting to do that then you will have to hack your s10 2100 spindles and fylnbye.com can help you with a bracket but good luck getting a hold of them. |

Re: Xtreme LS6 Take 2
I have a brake conversion bracket kit that will work for you to mount C5 Z06 calipers and rotors onto the Bell tech dropped blazer spindle. Your Xtreme looks almost just like mine. I'm running the C5 Z06 brakes and rims. Love the step shaver kit, first time I've seen it on a red extended cab stepside Xtreme. How well did it fit?
