Talking woo hoo great, more ls1 questions

Aight i wrecked my 98z parting it out and keeping the motor and tranny to put into my 98 s-10 ive got most of the basics down but i do have a few questions.

1. I can just keep the Z's dual fans and put them on the stock s-10 radiator correct?
2. Will my fbody fuel pump be a direct replacement for the stock s-10 pump and should i do it? Not sure if it would alter my fuel pressure one way or the other.
3. Since i have a 98 i had read on kossuths site i dont have a fpr on the rail...should i look into getting different rails?
4. currentwiring does harnesses but do i have to send them my old one or do they just send you a whole new one?
5. will my tranny crossmember need to be altered?
6. i see lht has motor mounts but ive read a few bad things about them making me a bit leary, any other placing making motor mounts as of yet that people have had luck with?
7. im not gonna run power steering or a/c what all will i need to run my stuff? Will i just be able to get away with using the alternator bracket and stock pullies and such or am i gonna be in it deep at that point?

Thats it for now though im sure I'll have more questions as i go along

1 Not enough room for the Z's fans -- flexalite 210 fit perfect
2 Pump is not a direct replacement -- you have to take both appart to make one.
3 Your rales are fine
4 www.currentperformance.com will make you a compleat harness. It's the best on the market -- plug&play
5 Yes
6 Make your own -- very easy
7 You are still going to need the vette alt bkt as the f body sits on the steering box.

JTR has LS1 mounts for the S10 2wd. They work with the 2.8 style mounts, and have slotted holes to allow for adjusting the engine position.

You could use your rails but its easier to use the Rails from a 97 Vette since the fuel pressure regulator is on the rail at the motor. On your 98 the regulator is in the fuel tank. Also, unless your going to shim all the Vette brackets out from the motor you'll need the vette balancer also.

Re: woo hoo great, more ls1 questions

My buddy didnt use the S10 radiator on either swap but i wouldnt think it would have enough cooling for the LS1. And both of the conversions have dual electric and the 2001 Xtreme with the turbo may be getting a 3rd

I used the 1-3/8 thick 4.3 rad and have had no overheating prob. I have the 220 fan this is a duel fan and does not come with the thermostat -- LS1 uses the computer to run the fans -- 210 is the same fan w/thermostat -- use your ASP pullie and just space the alt bkt out 3/4"

Re: woo hoo great, more ls1 questions

My buddy got custom made griffins for both swaps to make extra room in the front of the motor. Just measured and got a radiator to fit inside the core support instead of behind it. Also got it made with no filler, and attached a remote filler inline with the upper radiator hose.
