what do I need to put a ls1 or lt1 into a 1992 s10 ?

I want a v8 in my s10 looking for a ls1 swap or lt1 swap what exactly do I need please help me?

The ability to use the search button on this forum and on LSs1tech forums, under conversions. There's a huge thread on that site.

There are about a dozen or more conversions that have been fully documented on this site alone.

There's a vendor, listed a the top of the page that who has provided a lot of information on his site.

What you should do first is to determine if your truck will need to be emissions legal. That will have an impact on the difficulty of your project.

Band aids. The corners of the heads are razor sharp . Might want to take a file to them first.

well i went a lil crazy doing my 95 lt1/ t56 swap into my 98 sonoma. took about 20 days, mostly only at night cuz i worked all day, except weekends to get the engine clean it up, clean the wiring harness, moved all the electrical and pcm into the dash. made custon tranny support to run true dual exhaust, and custom solid motor mounts. u need a vats module to bypass the security. hook up 5 wires to the fuse box form the pcm harness. connect your NEW guages. stock wont work. or i couldnt get them to atleast. and your done. if u wanna see pics let me know! got a ton any questions ask!

Hey you all forgot a lil creativity!! If you think it bolts in move on to a different project. I don't know how many time I have had bolts in and out on my pickup. I had similar issues to bucket99. Good times.
