Re: well it begins today. ls1 blazer
just to let everyone know www.paceperformance.com sells the h3 oil pan kit gm #19212593 for $160 shipped. thats the cheapest i found it any where. it came complete. pan, tray, pick up tube, dip stick and tube, and also all the bolts and gaskets needed to install. i have an extra brand new gm #15010419 throttle cable for $20 if someone needs it..

my pass side valve cover was right on the blower box. i didnt like that.. so we cut out the parts where it was hitting and custom made a new blower box side..

Re: well it begins today. ls1 blazer
here she is sitting over in there.. i had to change the f-body tail housing for the 4.3 one cause the drive shaft was hitting on the bolt holes built onto the f-body one. i also notched the cross member just to give some more room. ill have some more pics tomorrow when i get it all cleaned up and painted. and put the engine back in.

Re: well it begins today. ls1 blazer
It probably helps the engines sit higher in Blazers also. I am getting ready to do a 1988 Blazer, your pics caught me off guard because I didn't think there was any way the alternator would even be close. Nice progress and look forward to the pics.

Re: well it begins today. ls1 blazer
i thought it would be ok not grinding the steering box the first power steering pump around. Well the engine moving around bent the lip of the p/s pump and made the front seal go out. So i too have grinded my steering box like you, nothing wrong after around 8,000 miles.

Re: well it begins today. ls1 blazer
well i guess thats what separates the men from the boys.. haha after all the other mods that have to be done to make this thing fit in there. a little grinding on the steering box wasnt that bad compared to the other mods... anyway i guess ill see if it works ok or not. |
