Question Speedo not working after 5.3L swap

As some of you know, I'm finishing up my swap on the 1993 s10 with a 5.3L/4L65e. My speedo reads 0 mph at all times. I was asked to verify that I have two wires coming from the VSS to the white plug under the passenger side dash (purple/white and green/black wires). Both wires are there coming from the engine harness and mating up to the same wires in the dash harness.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? If so, what things did you check for and what ended up being the problem?

Two other issues I'm having:
1. Tachometer is reading low (verified its set to 8 cyl)
2. Windshield washer pump - what harness does this plug come from? Engine harness, headlights harness (didn't see it on there), or....other?

Re: Speedo not working after 5.3L swap

Should be going to your PCM first and then to your connector under the dash.
Washer pump should be on the headlight harness.

Not 100% but pretty sure.

Re: Speedo not working after 5.3L swap

I got the speedo working. Thanks to Jared for his help. When I removed the stock 4.3L computer, I didn't know about the VSS buffer that was attached to the computer (I didn't know what that extra electronic box was for). When I looked at the computer today as it was sitting on the bench, it was a simple fix - 2 screws and one nut to remove the speedo buffer. I plugged it back in and viola! Now I just need to set the computer for the correct gears

Thanks again for the suggestions guys.
