sonoma gt is getting a turbo

i decided to take the carb set-up off my truck and switch over to fuel injection. then a buddy of mine took the turbo set-up off his mustang and made me a deal i couldn't pass up. once its all finished is should make about 650 at the wheels. i'll post some pics when i get farther into the project.

if anybody is interested in the carb set-up i will be getting rid of it soon. its an edelbrock performer rpm ls1 intake, edelbrock/msd ignition controller, demon 750 carb, 3/4" spacer, barry grant pressure regulator, auto meter pressure gauge, and edelbrock air cleaner with k&n filter. the setup only has 700 miles on it. send me a pm or email to ajmxtreme@yahoo.com

Nice man, what you gonna do for exhaust? Have custom manifolds made? This gonna be a front mount or a rear mount? This thing gonna have forged internals?

Good Luck

Re: sonoma gt is getting a turbo

the motor was built for a big shot of nitrous, forged rods and pistons. the turbo is going to be a rear mount. still going to run an intercooler. i think i will just do a straight pipe off the turbo. then today i was offered a trade for a gt45r that i couldn't pass up, this turbo could make over 900 at the wheels, but that will be way too much for this truck right now.
