wyotech and UTI are the ass end of many a joke at my school, i hate how much publicity those fools get, and then you hear so many horror stories from shops that hire them over other places and the cocky bastards wind up making catastrophic mistakes... maybe thats just wisconsin tho...

that does look like some nice fab work tho

sorry i just read the first page... did realise there was a second and we were done with that lol

so big name tech schools are a joke?
what technical school would you be attending?
have you ever been to any wyotech or uti campus and toured the facilitys, talked to the instructors, reviewed the curriculum?? THATS what makes the school itself... The student is only going to get out of it what he/she puts back into it... the disaster storys you hear of are people who attend the school, get nothing out of it but a skimping by passing grade get a job and act cocky then fck somthing up b/c they're scared to ask questions or admit they're wrong, and God forbid... Learn somthing... people like that give the people who go to school w/ a goal and work to achive it... a bad name...

Re: s10 + t56 + TURBO + LS1 = Schwab Shop Customs

there he goes again.. i guess i'll jump in and say what i think about wyotech.. when i was in auto tech class in high school.. the guy that works for wyotech that goes around to schools talking about there school to the stundents kept telling our class that there is no other school like there's and that they are the best school for what they do and blah blah blah.. bullshit to me.. i mainly don't like wyotech due to that.. and i personly know 4 people from my town that went to wyotech and graduated and all that good stuff.. and they still know nothing really. or like they think they no more then they really do. as uti i dont know much about that school. but then there's others like nadc and lincoln and some others probably. but dude chill out about all your wyotechness.. i'm sure there are some who actually use there time wisely and learn something at school but i'd say most just goof off and think its one big party. sorry to get off topic..

Last dyno session results: 440 rwtq 407rwhp @ 5000 rpm.

Setup:
7.3psi
non-intercooled---170*intake temps
no timing in the tune

Issues:
Valve float @ 5300rpm

New Dyno session: unknown yet

Setup:
10psi
intercooled, and Meth injection (estimated 30* intake temps)
more timing added
Double valve springs added... SHould be good for 6500-7000 RPM

SO, more boost, more timing, more RPM, and much cooler temps = ~175-200 extra hp !!!!!!!

Hopefully~ IC is in, Valvesprings are in, Just waiting on funds to get the meth injection, then it's back to the dyno!!!!!!
Should be a couple weeks.

From what I've seen these engines seem to be good to about 650 hp on a stock bottom end. The transmission is usually what goes first.

The meth may be what pushes it...From my understanding a to tune with Meth is tricky and if you run out of meth with a meth tune then bad news....

Ok then, looks like the bottom end it is.

Kidding. Street tires should keep it pretty safe.

Drive it like you stole it.

It will be tuned off meth 1st. Then with 50/50 water/meth mix.

That is just for cooler intake temps. Doesn't affect the tune too much if you run out. Just increases intake temps. When the computer senses Hotter intake temps, the engine pulls timing out. That's what the IAT, MAF, and MAP sensors are for.

But i'm hoping for just over 600 at the wheel. That will make me happy

the boost level will have to determine that. I wonder what peak hp is right now, because i can rev now, and i'm intercooled. At the same timing and same boost level, i wonder what i'd push. Hmm......

Re: s10 + t56 + TURBO + LS1 = Schwab Shop Customs

Don't let the numbers get to your head too much. 600 hp to the wheels of a lightweight pickup on street tires is going to be way beyond the traction capabilities of the truck. Highway drag races will be the specialty.

Pretty much what I'm sayin is just have fun. This truck is going to be the fastest thing around.

Re: s10 + t56 + TURBO + LS1 = Schwab Shop Customs

Methanol is a fuel and will effect measured AFR, thus I hope that you tune this truck very rich is you ever plan to run out of methanol. Your IATs will be effected as well however there is just as much gain or potential gain from the additional fuel, slow burning fuel at that, which lessens your chances of detonation.

I have perosnally seen methanol effect AFRs by as much as a point with big nozzles in the meth system. There is a high amount of danger when methanol systems fail. My friends silverado would go from 10.6:1 to 11.5:1 and sound like a clackerry sack of marbles when he had his controller for his meth system fail on him. After this happened twice he opted to run low boost, 15 psi and only go to 20 when he was running race fuel, completely removing the meth system.

Best of luck, hopefully the thing makes some power.

What do you maen by any? If youre including the LT1 t56 then NO. But an LS1 T56 will bolt up to ANY LS based motor including the truck motors
