Re: s10 ls6 project
ok were moving right on along got the a/c fiberglassed up after several hours < fiberglass sucks > looks good though everything seems to be fitting fairly well up to this point i had the transmount mount hole in the crossmember milled out so i was able to use it. The engine and trans bolted in for good i hope. I will be working some more on installing the cpw radiator in the core support in the next few days

I fixxing to buy that same alt/ps bracket. Can you tell if it sits higher than the intake, and if so how much. My truck bracket/w alt hit the hood.

Re: s10 ls6 project
big difference in the money going from a used ls6 intake to the fast my opinion would be to get it running before spending another 900 but its your money i know i have way more in mine than i was planning on

yeah i probably will. another thing, is there a reason you put you pulleys on the kwik a/c kit the opposite way than they do.

Re: s10 ls6 project
ok put a little more of it together ordered all the fuel fittings and hoses then modified the 4.3 throttle bracket to fit and looked at the exhaust. The exhaust looks like it is going to be tough to get it started really tight around the headers the driveshaft is going to have to be shortened and somehow fish the wiring harness in there + I posted a pic of the old dog

Re: s10 ls6 project
Is your alt really sitting that high, or is it just the angle of the pic? I thought the truck alternator normally fits and allows the hood to close. What did you spray on the a/c box after the fiberglass work? Looks like a nice project. I can't wait to get my harness and get started on my own.

Re: s10 ls6 project
I think you may be looking at my pic there iroc. Truck acc/w alternators usually fit in the trucks, but blazers motors sit a little higher.
