Re: Quick simple question

they make them, yes.
not big gain though.

Truck intake makes torque...thats why its in the trucks.
Ls1 intake to 5.3 means new fuel rails flashing the pcm and injectors.
I would keep the 5.3 intake unless you want to push high revs....

Throw this all out if you want it for clearance.

Re: Quick simple question

Yes I want it for clearance and most of all the 5.3 intake is DAMN ugly. So as far as bolting up, Im good right.

Re: Quick simple question

but what accy. are you using. the trucks will not allow a car intake. it can be done though. relocate idler pull near alt. and use a 6.2l water pump. of course this is for cabled TB

Re: Quick simple question

I'll prolly scrounge up some LS acc from the shop or go with some S&P billet. I'll figure it out. I just wraped up a swap in a 30' model chevy (dont try it) and had to get pretty creative with the acc and such.

So you think I should use a 6.2 water pump?

Re: Quick simple question

if you are going to swap out your intake you should do a LS6 as they perform better. you might have to do some other stuff to get either LS1/LS6 intake to work with the truck accessories.
