the 5.3L ran a little cooler usually around the 190* mark. Could be my new water pump, could be a bum thermostat. I am ordering a 160* today.

Re: Project "Darkhorse" Spy Photo's!!!! **56K beware**

Funny ya'll beat me to my project. I bought a 2000 S-10 last week and also bought a brand new 6.0 Crate motor for a Chevy 2500 P/U to put in the S-10. I just finished the 1975 camaro w/ 02 Denali drivetrain and sold it to a friend that "had" to have it. I'll probably do the conversion sometime next year since I'm neck deep w/ three projects right now and mama isn't happy. Congrats on the 6.0 swap, Looks good.

Re: Project "Darkhorse" Spy Photo's!!!! **56K beware**

my point to here was " that ring on you finger would have ment the same thing if it was a chip of glass, but you would be pissed right?" "you did not need THAT ring, but you got it and it serves no real purpose." " I drive mine every day and it get me to and from the place that allowed me the money to by you THAT ring."

then of course see points out " you bought me this ring, I did not by it for myself."

damn women!

I cant ever see myself spending that much money on something that only serves its purpose for a few seconds. The ring is "will you marry me" then the wedding bands is the 15 seconds in the wedding service that they do whatever kinda weird shit to them.

I just got turned down by "the boss" for a complete 5.3L/4L60e w/ 42k on it. Harness, accessories, pcm....everything.

$1500, and its just down the road, no delivery!!!

We actually started fighting about it, and thats when I knew it really wasnt worth it. Its a heck of a deal, but not worth the cost of us bickering...

On another note.........Black X what kind of drop / traction bars are you running? Or is is just the leafs and the hop shock? I would say that even with a stock LS1 it would be hard to hook up a light s10 rear end

did you ever see the video of his truck going down the track with the old motor nate? Took off no problem. Even with more power he has i think competition engineering bars with a new 9" ford rear end. Dont see a problem with it

Yes you do, you just lean over your fender and stare and learn what parts you have. Screw the hoses and accessories, learn what the big rectangular thing his(head), that deal on top of the motor (Intake Manifold), what are those 8 rounds things with rods sticking out of it(Pistons).

Hey it's all about experimenting to gain experience. I don't give a crap what anyone says... a auto school will not teach you how parts work, they will teach you what the parts are and what they do. It's up to you how they work and what makes the power. Then how to make more power without nitrious and blowers
