My bad the LS2s have two grooves on the same side..I'll take a pic..And the bottom ones in your pic have larger holes on the side with the groove..For the VVT I guess? On these all four are same size..

The number is 12569259 on the part

But I got this off another site: LS2 valve pushrod cover guide (lifter tray) = 12595365

Re: Project: 5.3 4l65e 4 door blazer

how did you install the seals, with the tool or "manually"? and did you ever get an answer to your "timed in" question, were the marks in the right spots in those pics earlier?

Re: Project: 5.3 4l65e 4 door blazer

No! no one said anything about the timing. As far as the front seal just knock the old one out with a flat head and hammer. Then I just cleaned it real good, took a little oil and lube the seal and the front cover, then just used a rubber hammer and gently tapped it in. Went it real easy. Thats what the book said to do.

Re: Project: 5.3 4l65e 4 door blazer

^^^ Some people install the cover so that the seal is concentric with the crankshaft. This way you get a even sealing area and better wearing of the seal.

that's up to you, they actually make a tool to center it, some people use shim stock or feeler gages.

Not sure on the pin out I'll have to check later. Glad you found that part you need. You help me track down a few part numbers, so was trying to return the favor.

Re: Project: 5.3 4l65e 4 door blazer

Now I need to figure out what size bolt that is holding the bracket on the bottom....Or maybe they would know when I went to go buy it...

For the harness plugging into the knock sensors I believe they will go either side but the passenger side will also have the crank sensor plug near the knock sensor plug..

Yeah no problem and thanks...

If these are knock sensors on both sides of the block then these plugs are wrong or i need different knock sensors. All so my oil pressure sensor don't fit.
