Perimeter or Center valve cover bolt Config.

hey all, i was reading in the LS1/LS6 Performance book and it talks about the Early LS1 heads having Perimeter Bolt Config. then switching to Center Bolt Config. does anyone know what the difference is and wich one is better? thanks

Center is the later style and what you want to go with...

any main differences, would they still bolt up to a 2000 5.3 truck block?

Yes they will still bolt up.

Any reason why the Center bolts are the ones i should go with? Will there be any differences in them, like will my coils still bolt up in the same spot on the valve covers

they are better engines, a little more developed and such. as with any engine when it first comes out, the first year or two had a few problems.
