Re: Patriot Performance?

Ive got a set of their heads. Their combos, which the cams were designed for, work well. Texas Speed also has a nice cam selection.

Re: Patriot Performance?

I know they have had some issues with their cams in the past. You can find that info on the tech, but I think it was the supplier problem with journals.

Re: Patriot Performance?

I wouldnt buy a cam from them. Do they make it themselves? Is it another company private labeling cams for them?

Patriot to me means, "The ultra cheap" company. I was messing with a set of their big block chevy heads the other day an they just seemed ultra cheap. Ive also seen their sbc heads and wasn't impressed either.

Re: Patriot Performance?

Sweet, this is not a shot....

Very few companies actually make cams. Comp Cams are probably the most "re-packaged" cam around.

Re: Patriot Performance?

I am runing there cam and spring kit seems to be ok to me the quality looked normal also I think there are fine. Now if you want to compare them to someone like trickflow ect yea there is probably a big difference in the quality of head work

I'm certain I read somewhere that the Patriot cams are imported.

Re: Patriot Performance?

from working at advance auto i have found that oil filters are made by only a few people. "powerflo" is made my pureolator, it says so on the back of the box in smallllll letters. so i wonder if i email Patriot Performance if they will give me a straight answer on who makes their cams.
