Re: ******PARTS LIST AND SWAP INFO FROM BLACK X****** LSX Swap.

The 55 chevy swap pan ----You still have to notch the crossmember(very little, less than the ls2 pan he said) a little.S&P said if you cut it down anymore you would lose to much oil capacity,I asked them if they would make a swap pan for the s10 chasis, they said NO.

Well, according to the pics in the ls1/s10 thread,The 55 chevy swap pan actually fits the s10 chasis,so add this to the parts list, just another option for sure.

Re: ******PARTS LIST AND SWAP INFO FROM BLACK X****** LSX Swap.

IMPORTANT AIR CONDITIONING INFORMATION

if you have a 4.3L truck this will not affect you it applies to the 2.2L guys only!

The LS1 ECM will use a Low Pressure sensor as a saftey shut off for the A/C pump, The Stock 2.2L ECM uses a High Pressure sensor and the 2 are not compatable. If you order a harness from Current Performance Wiring you will need to install a low pressure switch.

The way that I did this was to purchace 2 items from a 2003 4.3L Chevrolet Blazer.

(1) Low Pressure switch the GM part number for the switch is: 52473139
(1) Accumulator, the Accumulator Part Number is: 89038598

You can see the Low pressure switch as shown here in this diagram As #1
The 2.2L will not have this.

The GM part number for the switch is: 52473139
The Accumulator Part Number is: 89038598

Thanks to jhakinson for bringing this to my attention

If you need any fittings to adapt the compressors here is where i purchaced my fittings.
Rays Auto - #10, 1/2" Air Conditioning Fittings

Re: ******PARTS LIST AND SWAP INFO FROM BLACK X****** LSX Swap.

Black X, I have a 2002 Camaro LS1 and want to swap on the corvette brackets to fit it in my 1st gen S10. I saw some things were compatable on your list but are the power steering pump and alternator compatable too? Also what do i have to do if I am not running A/C. Do I still get the AC brackets and just put a pulley in there?

If your not going to use Air conditioning just omit the A/C items all together, they are run by a seperate 4 rib belt and it will not affect any of your other accesories. As far as the alternator and powersteering I am not 100% sure I dont think eaither one will fit to be honest. The power steering might but the Alt Wont i dont think.

Thanks. that will save me a little money. I noticed Jhankison said on post 50 he used the fbody alt and ps with the corvette brackets but he had to modify them a little. I PM'ed him and I'll post what he says. It would sure save some $ to not have to buy a alt and ps pump.

Pretty much there are other little things you will need that are mentioned in this thread. Some examples; you will need to notch the crossmember, fuel lines, sometimes you need to relocate the coil packs, ect.

Well boys and girls, the LS2 pan fits!! In 1st gen 2wd blazers. Maybe not all of them but it fit in mine with about 1/4" of gap between the corners of the pan and the cross member. Which in my books means no cutting
