New track times

I tested and tuned yesterday at NED. The weather was horrible, mid 80's (maybe higher) and very high humidity. Made 3 passes.

1st pass

60' 2.388 (spun hard)
1/8 8.886
1/4 13.324
mph 110.65

2nd pass. Shifted passed second into third, back to second then third

60' 2.054 (hooked a little better, still spun though)
1/8 8.321
1/4 12.838
mph 108.74

3rd pass

60' 1.953
1/8 7.872
1/4 12.221
mph 111.96

last time i was up my 60's were in the low 1.8's. I think with better air and hooking a little better their is an easy 11 second pass in the truck. It has awesome mph for the ET's its running. Not bad for a junkyard 5.3 with a cam.

sounds like you just need to hook up a little better. You have extremely good MPH for that ET.

if i had to guess, i would say 380-390 at the crank for both hp and torque. Car craft got similair numbers with a 5.3 build they did with a similair setup.

Re: New track times

I just bolted on a set of 28x10.5 ET drags two nights ago. That should take care of my short times.

Except i have a glide in my truck and 456's but my convertor was an ati 4300 went 7.62 1.62 60' and 89.9x mph in the 1/8 on 28x12.50 sportsman pro's in florida weather. Never got to run that combo 1/4 mile get that convertor loosened up u will go way faster. like to see some pics of ur set up too love my carb'd LS

Re: New track times

ya, i know. The converter is way tight. When i bought it i still had plans for driving it on the street, now it doesn't see street time. How much does your truck weigh? How do you like the glide setup? If i decide to go with a bigger motor next year I was thinking of putting a glide in it with some real steep gears.
