new engine

i am looking to swap a ls2 into my 91 sonoma and i was looking through the engine catalog at work and they list a (6.0 2001-06 vin U cast iron block w/aluminum heads) would that be kind of what i would need dont know what the vin U engine was in i am looking to do a turbo on this truck should i go with this or find something else

thats either an lq4 or lq9. its whats in the 2500 surburbans, trucks etc the block is a better way to go if you are going to be building it for boost

Pretty sure its a LQ4 don't think the LQ9 was being produced in 2001 either way i believe the iron block would be best for a turbo
