how much fluid in inches needs to be in the oil pan ? stock 4l60e

Kind of an odd question I guess.........is the TC full of fluid or is the trans dry? I would say at least over full.
If you're speaking of fluid amount once the pan is off same amount in order for proper trans operation. Sorry I can't help more. |

im not sure on exactly what youre trying to do, but with the engine off the pan will be full
you need to check trans fluid with the engine running in park or neutral. best done hot, but shouldnt matter on a dipper with cold and hot marks |

do you not have a correct dipstick or something?
Those trans hold another 4 quarts after i do a serverice on them. so you could drop the pan then fill it up 4 quarts. When dropping the pan they are usually right at the seam too. |
