My LSx S10 Swap LOTS OF PICS!

2000 S10 ZR2 4.3 to 2WD Lowered ZR2 with 5.3!

Here she started my truck Stock...

Fresh from the painter and fresh new rims!

out with the 4.3 in with the 5.3!

Surgery (i felt so bad for my baby at this time...)

no more 4x4!

it fits!

This is how i had to put the mounts to work with the ZR2...

looks sportier to me with the wider stance like its a widebody kit...and the ZR2 allows for bigger rims/tires...

Do you have any side profile shots (From nose looking down door to rear)? I like the look of that truck. Nice job!

Looks like it's not a "ZR2" anymore. He removed the 4WD hardware and made it a 2WD.

by removing the 4x4 stuff it made it so theres nothing under the motor...so any oil pan would work for me but it is the stock truck pan.

Re: My LSx S10 Swap LOTS OF PICS!

I like it.. And I completely understand lowering a ZR2. I've always loved the wider stance of those trucks. IMO all of these narrow stanced frame dragging trucks with the wheels all sucked up in the fenders look stupid.

Re: My LSx S10 Swap LOTS OF PICS!

Great pics! The reason I am asking this is because I have a 01 zq8 BUT I was going to put the ZR2 rear in it (which is wider than a standard rear for a 2wd or a 4wd) with the flares on all 4 corners. This would accomodate ZR1 wheels in the rear (17x11) without the use of spacers! I like the look! How much was the harness? Great looking truck!

Dmarsh, you have a great little truck. In fact, this is what GM should have provided as an RPO item.

I'll send a $1.00 to anyone who can show me a picture of any factory 2WD ZR2.

Not trying to hijack, but the 2-door Blazer had the 4-button, NP236 Autotrac 4WD, whereas the truck had the standard 3 button 4WD.

Re: My LSx S10 Swap LOTS OF PICS!

I will second Philntx and add $1.00 to the pot.

The point of ZR2 is off road package.

Re: My LSx S10 Swap LOTS OF PICS!

Nope, looks like I owe Ace a buck. Good catch!

They made a few of these in 2004. Found it on that wikipedia site.

But they never made any ZR2 Trucks w/2WD, so I was 1/2 right/wrong.

oh yea, I hope you left part of the CV shaft in the unit bearing, if not it will FAIL.

you have guys here givin him a hard time for lowering his truck and u say something to me?? come on now I'm just putting that up there because if you buy ss emblems I'm sure you would want them to be on the right way.

just how guys put the SS emblems from the 94 to 98 ss on their truck the wrong way. tht usually fix it so its done right.
