check your local salvage yards, craigslist, and e-bay. also check your local newspaper, but most people use craigslist nowdays.

Are your requirements so strict that you have to have an LS2 or and LSx motor?

Why not look at the Truck family of motors. A lot less expensive and only about 80lbs heavier (+ or - a few).

I've seen complete pullout 5.3's for under $1,000 in both Dallas and Oklahoma City.

does anyone know where I could find a 6.0 shortblock for a good price? i've been having a hell of a time with that, everyone sells complete engines.
