More power with the ls1

Just need some suggestions...Im looking to get 400hp out of my 03 ls1...I am planning a swap and have the engine and trnas lined up. What would be the be way to pull 400+hp without a turbo or NOS? I have heard about a cheater cam for the engine but i have heard both good and bad. Any Suggestions..........

definetley a cam, that and good tuning, with maybe a port and polish will get you close to 400hp

Go with a cam and stall something like a 224/228 on a 114 ls1 and a 3200 stall .That works good with a stall and factory manifolds.

400 hp? cam, valve springs, and roller rockers, headers(yes people make them for ls1 swaps), full exhaust, dyno tune, and to get 400 to the wheels, ls6 heads and intake and u should be sitting at 400 to the wheels easily!

Check out some of the cam packages Thunder Racing or LS1Speed offer for the LS1. You can get 400 rwhp of LS1 F bodies with cam and bolt ons. A really nice combo involves using ported 5.3L heads and a small cam. Patriot Performance has good deals on packages also. Don't forget to upgrade the oil pump while you're at it.
