LS2 Oil Pan

I recently just got my LS2 Oil Pan using all these product numbers

LS2 Corvette:

Pan - 12598186
Screen - 12558750
Gasket - 12580672
Tube - 12570787
Dipstick - 12570788

Found out that that i didnt really need the Gasket because the Oil Pan itself came with a gasket...So i have two now....anyone else run into this?

Re: LS2 Oil Pan

lol yea, but i knew ahead of time when the guy at the dealer told me i needed one.... you definitely need to get the windage tray.... they call it a deflector at the dealer tho.... the pickup tube bolts to a different spot on an ls2, so you should get it. mine only cost me about 20 bucks

hmm..... maybe they have the same one.... my ls1 used a different stud, and the stud it uses didnt have a flat spot big enough for the pickup tube, and i didnt wanna take the chance of twisting the tube

Re: LS2 Oil Pan

yea i have a 2004 LQ4 6.0l and the stock windage tray and it works good, pick up tube bolts directly to the same place as one of the middle windage tray bolts so no problems there!

Re: LS2 Oil Pan

My C6 pan filter is a PF48 I think. Look up the filter for a h3 5.3 and its the same. The one called out for the vette wouldnt fit my pan either.

Re: LS2 Oil Pan

The 05/06 LS2 Vette use the PF46

The 07 LS2 uses the PF48

LS3's use the PF48
