LS1 rear disc - emergency brake
Anyone done this swap have pics of their e-brake set up?

from what i hear, people are using the ebrake off of a zr2. its the only one that will fit without having one custom made

mine works. It works ok, but I still need to work out some bugs. I had one of the stock cables copied with some extra length on it, and the other one I just had the end changed.
turns out I didn't get them lengthened enough. I did 7 inches longer than stock. Should have gone for about 12". Anyway, I called a place called Control Cables and they were real good. I think it cost me $70 to have one new cable made, and one cable end changed. uh, other problem I have is the spring doesn't fully release the brake all the time depending on the weather. Sorry, but I got no pics Ooh, and don't forget to use zip ties. Last edited by imconfused; 10-25-2003 at 04:04 AM. |

Blazer e-brake set up is the same type as the ls1 set up -- they both have the same type of accuator and the cables off a zr2 or blazer will work.
