ls1 brakes on an 82

are they basically a bolt on or is there anything special i need to know? i know about the washers behind the backing plate

well the backing plate on the first gens are different then the newer trucks.. so you might have to cut the backing plate off and drill some new holes to mount up the ls1 caliper mounting bracket. Reason is the newer rearends have a little square mounting plate on them, while the older rearends have a tall rectangle shaped mounting plate.
