Re: LS engine oil pans - all of them

You'll still have to trim and box the crossmember, but you'll have plenty of ground clearance.

Re: LS engine oil pans - all of them

H3 hummer oil pan fits 2WD without cutting Crossmember. However, several guys have trimmed and boxed the crossmember to allow for easier R&R of the motor.

LS2 Corvette oil pan fits 2WD with a mild cut and weld on the crossmember. This one provides the greatest ground clearance

There is no un-modified factory pan that will fit a 4WD application.

SYTY performance.com (ghettosled) is working on an LSx pan for the AWD Syclone/Typhoon (which is the same as the Gen1 Blazer/Truck) and probably close to the Gen2 fitment. Estimated cost: $500+ Delivery: Mid to late Feb 2009.

thx for the info. i might do the H3 pan instead of the LS2 pan. i dont believe i can get a hold of the tools required to do the cutting and welding (my friend might have one but im not sure if he will let me use it, LOL im using his shop to do the swap though)

havent seen a new camaro pan yet, but usually each vehicle has its own pan so there is bound to be some difference.

Re: LS engine oil pans - all of them

There seems to be quite a few 5.3 truck pans floating around my area for sale. I know that the H3 5.3 pan will fit without any cutting and that it hangs down a bit but will the 5.3 truck pan fit without any alterations? Sorry if it's posted and I didn't see it.

Thanks in advance.

youll need a notch with that one, or modify the pan itself.
