I will be getting the new style here shortly...Just wanted to double check...Now I'm trying to think of things that can be taken care now or while I'm deployed so that when I return it all goes smoothly....

glad you asked.

small update for you guys, was busy with house stuff most the weekend, but I got some stuff done and inching closer to being done.

coil brackets on and wired, still need to grab some spark plug wires.

got my bed on and the filler neck fabbed up, had some 2 inch exhaust pipe bent up for me, then I welded on the top of the stock filler neck so the cap works, and weled on the small vent hose. Its functional but not done, i'm going to bend up aluminum sheet to make a nice cover for that ugly hole.

I got the core support on but no pics, I need to go make a junkyard run and grab a few things at the parts store, i'll have another update in the next few days.

Re: I'm calling her Mia

it was an easy fix, cut 2 tabs, welded them straight down from the existing holes, and drilled them. also cut off all the tabs I wouldnt need. didn't take more then an houre if that for everything.

I will have on, but the filler neck seals just fine.

it is thick enough to get rid of the cast in letters. the cover comes off the unit, you can see how thick yours is.

Re: I'm calling her Mia

Hmmm..My ABS unit may be a lil different because the cover doesn't come off and is kinda dimpled on the narrow part....

Dude, those coils are MINT! i love the idea.
What do you think you'll be doing for wires???

Also, i was rackin my brain trying to figure out how you were going to fill the rear mount tank.
I read you used a pipe up the side, adn i'm thinking to myself that you ran a pipe all the way up to the stock filler location... NOPE! i was wrong, haha you're idea is WAY better~!

I made the lines, my tank was from a 2002 2 dr blazer.

all 2nd gen blazers are the same 17 gallons,

1st gen blazers(box style) have a smaller tank, I believe 13 gallons.

Re: I'm calling her Mia

Awesome work and details!

I wouldn't worry so much about rain, it barely rains here anyways. However, prerunner run through desert, sand, dirts, muds with it exposed, as long it's properly sealed, it's all good.

However, I'd recommend locking gas cap and wrap around filler neck more(more theft deterrent for lousy thief). If they really wanted gas, it's easier to do it in stock location because gas hose is right there, you cut it and syhpon it out fast with bigger hose.

I'm wondering, is there any fuel pump cut off in case of rear-ended?

if there was one on the 2001 silverado's there will be one on mine, if not it will cut off when I turn the truck off.
