You will be satisfied for a little while and then the power bug will bite you in the arse again. I am planning to go turbo possibly in the next year or two if I don't get a C5/C6 first. I am where I wanted to be with my truck with the goals I set in place less than a year ago. But, I have the spray to hook back up to satisfy that need for more power but then that will get boring and then.........

yea, i definitely get that..... i guess id like to to think that i could save my $$ after these upgrades, but ur probably right lol

Amazing....

Show us the break down when you recieve everything. That seems like what just the intake and heads would cost.

yea, kinda..... i held off on the intake and tb for now, due to the fact that i had rent for the shop, and god knows how many other bills this week alone, so i should be ordering them in a couple weeks.... doesnt matter right now, cuz i dont plan on doing the work til winter. But to answer ur question its a fast 92, and some billet 92mm tb (dont remember the name)

Re: ideas on winter upgrades

Yea, well i was gonna do it one way or the other, so i might as well just do it all.... besides, itll give me a chance to improve some odds and ends that ive ignored along the way

Btw, zx9rgreen, i know you said you used an ls7 clutch with ur setup, what specific stuff did you need? flywheel, release bearing, etc? My clutch is still the original from the donor car, and i might as well do it while i have it apart

Re: ideas on winter upgrades

From what ive read you need an LS2 flywheel with the LS7 clutch, not sure about the other stuff though.

Scoggin Dickey has put together a complete kit for the LS7 clutch swap that's priced competitively.

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/sponso...formation.html

You will see a lot of people complain about the release point being right off the floor with this clutch. I had the same problem when I installed it with my original LS1 and HATED it. When I swapped the motors, I installed Spec's shim that is used on their clutches and now the clutch is just like stock. I would highly recommend installing a shim from my personal experience unless you have an adjustable master cylinder. There are lots of threads on the tech about the release point and these clutchs.

FYI the LS2 flywheel was quite a bit heavier then the ls1 I replaced it with. An engineer here at work just bought that kit with the Alu. because the steel was on back order. He said the only noticable thing was that it is trickier taking off from a stop.

well thanks man, its ok, i am just putting more power to it as i replace the shit, so its a win/lose situation for me, lol.

I am getting it dyno'd when i get the comp back next week.

I look at it this way, the problems ''crossed fingers'' have slowly but surely dwindled in severity so hope that s a good sign, you know?
